Below is a table showing the steps of decay of uranium-238. The left column gives the main product of the decay reaction, the right column gives the half-life of the step. For example, half of a sample of Th-234 decays to Pa-234 in 24 days. Notice radon decays to polonium in the seventh step.
For each step determine whether the minor decay product is an α particle or a β particle.
